Kami and her brother Ander were found as strays and taken to a high kill shelter in West Texas. She is good with other dogs, kids (suggest older due to size & ability to knock them down), and likely dog savvy cats.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. 

Kami is a sweet brindle beauty who loves to be near humans, adults and children alike. She is listed as a Plott Hound, we are sure she heard PLOP Hound. She will plop right over and give you her belly for rubs and snuggle right into your lap for as long as you would allow her there.  She is an easy going girl who just wants to please the humans. She catches on quickly to whatever you try to teach her. She knowns sit, down, kennel, has a good recall and leash skills are improving with each outing. She loves dogs of all sizes and ages.  She was introduced to a kitten and had no interest in it when in a kennel or someone's arms. So we believe she will do well in a home with dog savvy cats with proper time and introductions. She is a medium energy gal, except if kenneled for a full day then she has some bottled up energy to let out, this is when she would be likely to knock a small child down, otherwise she is pretty chill. She loves to run in the yard with the other dogs, sniff around, sunbathe, watch the neighborhood going ons, but also chills at your feet or in her kennel when working from home. She's pretty quiet unless there is something out of the ordinary. then she will alert.  She shares toys nicely, even when playing tug, and likes a good bone to chew on or stuffie to shred. She does a crawl/ jump up onto people to hug, but in the most gentle of ways and she is learning to wait for an invite up but it's a work in progress.  She sleeps on a dog bed in our room at night, but would love an invite onto the bed. This girl would make a great companion for anyone looking for a furry friend to go on adventures with or just snuggle. She has a wonderful personality and a very gentle demeanor.
