Adoption Information
Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet. Your desire to provide a loving forever home to a rescued animal helps us in our mission. When adopting a pet, you have the option of picking one from an animal shelter or a rescue organization. Both are good options, however, an animal rescue – like Matty's Heart & Soul Animal Rescue, is completely volunteer-run and as a charitable organization we are funded through donations. Our animals are in foster homes and we do everything we can to learn as much about their likes and dislikes, temperament and activity level as we can while in foster care. By doing so, it enables us to work more closely with potential adopters to do our best to help ensure a “good fit.” The adoption process might take a bit longer than adopting from a shelter or humane organization, but our goal is finding a match that benefits both the pet and the family interested in adopting.

We place dogs and cats in loving, responsible, committed foster homes until the comprehensive adoption process is complete. The adoption process includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a new pet into their homes and lives. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference, background check and a home visit.

All pets we adopt out are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and are up to date on rabies, da2pp, distemper, bordatella, and are tested and treated for parasites/worms, heartworm (if over 6 months), and Feline Leukemia/ FIV, as well as any other veterinary care that is needed.
