Gala was part of a hoarding situation of more than 50 dogs and puppies.  Some were lucky and and found themselves in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  A neighbor has shot quite a few of them and we, thankfully, were able to save some of them. They are good with other dogs and kids. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.

Hello! This little beauty is looking for a forever home.

Gala was a little shy at first, but she has blossomed into a social pup. AND once she gets to know you, she loves cuddling and following you around, definitely your best friend.  She does great with other dogs and children.  A home with no cats or VERY dog savvy cats would be ideal. If they run, she will want to play, but does listen when told to back off. If they are older or slower moving, she could care less about them, so it's all about boundaries and time. She is house trained, has learned to go to the back door to indicate she needs to go out and does well in a kennel. At night she sleeps in her kennel in the same room with a person or another dog.  While her foster is working from home she chills in the kennel/dog bed in the office or hangs out on the couch/dog bed in the living room depending on her preference. When the foster is gone from home or in the office, she is great in her kennel when in the same room as the other dogs. She will require another dog in the home to help her gain confidence.  She is a quiet gal when she has a companion (furry or human) with her. Of course, she barks the normal play bark or if something is off.

Gala is young and has typically puppy energy and loves running around; she likes to play catch me and then give kisses when the game is done. She doesn't mind the snow at all and so far, the cold has been ok too. She’s learning basic commands and is doing well overall. She has a solid sit and recall is very good.

She's looking for a foster to adopt family that will bring her to a vet appointment in Twin Cities Metro area prior to adoption
