Gambit, his mom, Sevene, and his siblings were dumped in a high kill shelter in West Texas They are good with dogs and kids, cats are unknown. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.
This goofy, happy go lucky boy is looking for his forever home. He made the trip up from TX to MN with his litter mates and mamma at the beginning of November. Despite only ever living on the streets and in a shelter Gambit adjusted to home life right away. He loves playing with toys, especially balls and ropes. And he loves running around the yard, if there is a stick to chew on too, you will have one happy boy! He’ll let you know he’s getting tired by snuggling up next to you for some cuddles and some rest. We recently introduced him to a leash and he is catching on wonderfully. He is ready to start adventuring with his family! Gambit is catching on to potty training and showing progress all the time. Sometimes he’s just having so much fun playing and forgets to go, so he just needs a few extra minutes. He loves to run over and get lots of praise when he goes potty outside so we’re confident he knows he’s that’s where he’s supposed to go. As long as we stay on schedule and give him a few extra minutes we are having success. Gambit is content in his crate and will run right in for food, a treat, or a toy. He may sing you a husky song for a few minutes and then quiets down. He sleeps quietly in his crate through the night. Gambit is interested in the cat that lives at his foster home, and like any puppy he has given him a good chase. He likes to see if he can sneak up on him to get a sniff, but has never cornered or barked at him. Gambit likes other dogs and is calm, confident and playful when meeting new friends! He would do well in a home with dogs or he would be happy to be your only #1 best buddy! As much as we are loving his stay with us and getting to know him, he deserves a family and a home to call his own. Could that be with you?
Priority will go to applicant who can bring to vet visit in the Twin Cities Metro, MN. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.
