Russell and his siblings found themselves unwanted at a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.   All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.

Russell arrived in Minnesota in August 2023. He is a very loyal and loving dog, as is common with his breed! He loves to give kisses and play.

Russell is still a puppy, so he will require exercise and training. He does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks! He also does well in the car; he likes to look out the window and see where he’s headed!

Russell is quiet in his kennel and goes in easily if you put a treat in there. He knows how to sit and is working on lie down as well.

Russell is a great guard dog! He will be the first to let you know when your package and guests have arrived! He is very sweet and loving but just wants to give you a heads up.

He’s getting better every day with potty training! Russell loves toys and treats, and sometimes the occasional house decoration that he mistakes for his! Russell absolutely loves other dogs, but he can puppy play a little rough sometimes. He would love cats, but his foster mom isn’t sure the cats would like him. If you have a cat who can stand up for themselves, they would probably get along great!

Russell would be an amazing family dog. He can help you get your kids off to school and wait for them to get off the bus by the window!

He is a very sweet and loving boy who just needs some time and training. He wants to please you and be a good boy, but he had never lived in a home before, so there are a lot of new things to see and learn! When he first arrived at his foster mom’s house, he was too scared to use the stairs, but now he runs up and down them like he’s been using them his whole life!

If you’re looking for an absolutely adorable puppy to raise and watch grow, Russell is the man for you! He would love the chance to give you a big wet kiss before you head off to work.
