Maple found herself unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. She is good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.
From the foster:

When someone says a dog is man’s best friend, they’re talking about Maple! Maple is a Dane mix who is just under a year old, and is as sweet as maple syrup. She will snuggle up to you and drape across your lap - if she could melt into you, she would in a heartbeat! She’s a real people pleaser and is eager to learn and succeed, especially if there are treats involved, as with positive training. Next to snuggling with you, one of her favorite things is taking a stroll outside where her leash manners are improving by the day. A fenced back yard would be a great place to run and stretch out her long legs. Maple will also gladly just be in your presence, chewing on her favorite bone or lying quietly in the kitchen as you prepare meals. Once crated, she will settle and sleep (and maybe snore some too)!
Maple gets along well with the house dogs, but likes to chase cats. We are unsure about small children.
