Pookie found herself unwanted, and in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  She is great with other dogs her size and up,  kids and dog saavy cats (she likes to chase & nip if they are up for the game). 
From the foster:

I love to play with my size dogs& larger, bigger kids, and my rope. Some times my puppy side comes out and I get mouthy when I play. I'm working on walking nice on a leash and commands sit, off, and leave it. I do a good job of staying in my kennel when my foster family goes to the store. I sleep with my foster mom either on the floor or the bed. I am very playful, affectionate, and love getting pet! Cats are very curious to me.... some ignore me and some I want to play with..... why don't they want to play with me? Oh well, I have lots of other things to play with! I hope I can get to my furever home soon!
