Naledi found herself unwanted, and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. Naledi was found inside a cow carcass with her sister, cold and hungry. She is great with other dogs  and kids.  She would do best with a doggie companion. Puppies need training and supervision.

Naledi is such a wonderful dog and would be the perfect addition to any family or single person looking for an adventure buddy. She is incredibly smart, spirited, playful, and so sweet. She LOVES other dogs and humans and thrives in play settings with other dogs. She seems to have a prey drive, so probably won't be good with cats but I've never tested the waters. She loves being outside and isn't afraid of the cold. She is an active dog and will need to be exercised daily. Walks are fine but she really prefers to stretch her legs and RUN. She knows to stop and wait when we come inside so I can wipe her paws off. Once she gets her exercise, she loves to curl up by my feet or in her kennel while I work from home. She is potty trained, kennel trained, and leash trained. She heels but will need more reinforcement for it to become habitual. I have started to train her to heel off leash, but this will require more work to become consistent and reliable. She knows sit, down, stay, come (sort of), wait, off, shake, and no. I have even taught her hand signals for sit and down (she is so smart!). She taught herself how to play fetch but will need more training for consistency. She loves to play with balls and sticks and has her favorite plush toys. She doesn't chew on my things and doesn't dig through the trash. I have a lot of houseplants and she has not messed with any of them. I have trained her to stay off the furniture but she needs to be occasionally reminded. She sleeps in her kennel overnight and takes naps in it during the day. She does still whine in her kennel a little bit when I leave the house but eventually quiets down. She will need more training with this to ensure she doesn't bark while you are gone. She doesn't mind getting a bath - I have a feeling she will love playing in lakes/rivers. Overall, Naledi is really smart and can learn anything you want to teach her, but as with any puppy she will need consistency and routine to make it a habit. She is an active, playful, good natured dog who will make the perfect companion for someone who likes to be outside regardless of the weather.
