Huck and his brother Finn found themselves unwanted at a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.   All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. 

Huck is an adorable and sweet little guy with a big personality! He is a fearless gem of a dog, who sometimes forgets how little he is. He is doing great at potty (no accidents in a month!) and kennel training, and sleeps quietly through the night. He may bark for a minute or two when first kenneled, so for that reason, he may be best in a home without shared walls. He is super smart and listens well - he knows “sit” and “down,” and is doing great at learning puppy manners! Huck is small but mighty - he currently lives with 3 dogs who are about 3x his size, who he loves playing with. He loves other dogs, but doesn’t like it when he thinks they’re coming after his things, so needs redirection occasionally. He is doing so much better at not resource guarding than when he first arrived. He redirects well and seems to have good social cues when other dogs give warnings. He absolutely adores all people; ignored the one cat he came across; and would most likely be good with respectful kids. He loves being held and is low energy for a puppy, but don’t forget, he IS a puppy, so he loves exploring, playing, and a good hard toy or non-rawhide bone for chewing (otherwise he’ll chew whatever he can get his paws on). He will reward you with lots of snuggles and kisses, and will gladly fall asleep on your lap at night - napping is one of his favorite pastimes! You will fall in love immediately upon meeting this sweet boy!
