Meet Bowzer, a Resilient and Loving Pup Ready for His Forever Home!

Bowzer, an adorable 11-month-old puppy, has a story of resilience and hope. Found in a high-kill shelter in West Texas, he’s blossomed into a remarkable companion, especially cherished by his 3-year-old foster brother. Though shy at first, his true, gentle personality emerges with familiarity, revealing a heart without a hint of malice.

Personality and Social Skills:

Bowzer’s initial reserve around new people fades to unveil a fantastic personality. He’s sociable with other dogs and great with children, though his experience with cats remains unknown. His playful, energetic nature, combined with his love for cuddles, makes him an ideal family pet. Bowzer also has an adorable quirk – he loves to ‘sploot’ and often sleeps in silly positions, bringing smiles to everyone around him.

Training and Behavior: Bowzer is mostly potty trained and can hold it for over 8 hours, with only occasional accidents when startled. He’s also crate trained, handling his time in the kennel exceptionally well. Bowzer’s not possessive about his toys, sharing them amicably with kids and other dogs.

Obedience:

Bowzer’s intelligence shines through in his training. He responds obediently to commands like ‘drop,’ ‘down,’ ‘sit,’ and ‘touch (hand).’ He’s also keen on learning new tricks, especially with the incentive of treats.

Chewing Habits:

As a young pup, Bowzer enjoys chewing his toys and might occasionally chew on textiles. Keeping such items out of reach when he’s alone is advisable.

Ideal Home:

Bowzer would thrive in a patient, loving home that can continue his training and offer him the affection he so enjoys. He’s adaptable and could fit well in various environments, especially those with children or other dogs.

Bowzer is ready to bring joy, laughter, and love into his forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and playful companion with a knack for adorable antics, Bowzer might just be the perfect addition to your family!
