Mella Bella found herself unwanted at a high kill shelter in West Texas. She is good with other dogs and kids, she has done well on her in home cat test as well.   All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  

My name is Mella Bella and I am a laid back girl who wants smooshy snuggles and calm cuddles all the time. If you could work from home so I could please adore you even more, that would be perfect. If you have to leave, I'll go into my kennel but let’s be honest, that’ll make me cry a little bit (I do get over it). However, if I get my walk in the morning before you go, I might just go to sleep in my kennel right away when you leave.

At night, I would SO LOVE to sleep with you in your bed (I’m a good little spoon) but, again, if I get a night walk and a treat, I will go to my kennel. I’ll try not to cry but I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! In fact, sometimes it’s hard for me to share you with other dogs. I get a little jealous but after a few days of work, I mostly get over it. I’m still learning how to meet other dogs that I see on walks. I usually ignore them as we walk on by. Cats, you ask? I don’t get jealous of them, they’re just walking fluff with a tail. I might chase a bit, if they’re rascally, but let’s you and I snuggle instead. Kids, you say? I LOVE THEM and I will snuggle with them and expose my belly for them whenever they let me. I’ll be honest: I prefer women. Men inherently scare me, but my foster dad is so calm and gently patient, he’s really growing on me.

Please walk me! I’m learning so much about the outside world that I never experienced before coming to MN. I enjoy stopping to figure out what the heck a “squirrel” is, distinguish bird songs, wait for a scary truck to pass by, and roll around in luscious grass or even a dusty road. I’ve been told I’m great on a leash! I like to remind you how much I love you by flopping over on my back so you can rub my melly belly, even on my walks but usually whenever I see you.

I will pee & poop on my walks but I’m not sure yet how to tell you that I have to when we’re hanging inside. After you feed me, I love my walk (or fenced in yard) right away to potty. I don’t understand that whole “tie me up in the yard” thingy to go potty yet.

If you adopt me, I will love you SO HARD and give you my belly to rub and gently take treats from your hand and never try to be naughty. I aim to please and want to be your good girl FUREVER!
