Harriet is a sweetheart that found herself unwanted in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  She is good with other dogs and cats, kids under 12 are unknown. She is vocal in play. She is crate, doggie door trained.  Harriet is on the time to go on a diet/ exercise regimen as she is overweight. She sits, almost shakes, and rolls over.  She is leash trained. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.

BIO: Humans love my scruffy hair and sweet smile. I have a lot of spunk and spirit and love to be loved. I can be a real lap dog, nuzzling my human friends to get a belly rub.
I am potty and crate trained. I weigh 36 pounds and have been portioning food, limiting treats and exercising daily to move towards a healthy weight. I enjoy activities like walking on a leash or playing in a fenced yard with a tennis ball. An active family, even someone who enjoys jogging, would be a great fit for me.
I have been staying with a foster family with a senior dog, but I think I will do better in a home where I am the only pet. I’ve done well around kids who are 6 and 8 years old. I am working on being more comfortable around men and other dogs.

Priority will go to applicant who can bring to vet visit in the Twin Cities Metro, MN. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.
