Hershey and his siblings found themselves unwanted, and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are great with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown. From the foster:

Hershey is a 40 lb black lab mix that is about 6 months old. He is crate trained and house trained. We found bells on the door work best as he will let you know when he needs to go out. He enjoys walks and chewing on a good stick or bone.
He is timid and takes time to get comfortable with new people, but when he does he will cuddle up to you and snore. He will need reassurance from his people in new situations. He gets along well with other dogs, including his foster brother Franklin2 (also available for adoption). Commands he is learning are sit, come and leave it.
