Kale, his siblings and mom, Petunia, found themselves unwanted, and in a high kill shelter in West Texas.

The puppies are good with other dogs, cats and kids.  Puppies need to be trained and supervised. Priority will go to

applicant who can bring to a vet visit in Golden Valley, MN prior to adoption.

From the foster

Kale is an amazing puppy. He is spunky, active, and funny to watch play. He loves to play ball, rope toy tug o war, chew on bones, and is a vocal puppy when he plays with other dogs.

He is almost completely potty trained and will only have accidents if you leave him unattended for prolonged periods of time or if he isn’t let out after playing. He is completely kennel trained and quiet while in his kennel all night, unless he has to go potty which has only happened one night while we’ve had him.
He needs practice walking on a leash but does well if you have treats in hand. He knows sit and is working on lay down and stay. He is a smart dog and easy to train.

He loves to be pet and snuggled. His chest and neck are his favorite spots to scratch and he will think his little foot. He allows you to play with his paws, ears, and tail, as well as looking into his mouth with no problems.

He is wonderful with children & as with most puppies, just needs reminders not to jump. He has not been around cats with us so I am unsure what he would do.

Overall, he is great with other dogs and LOVES to play. However, if food is around, he is very protective of it so will need some help with resource guarding.

He would be best in a home with a submissive dog who does not care to be dominant. We have one submissive resident dog who he has had no problems with at any point and one resident dog who is our alpha and Kale and that dog don't seem to get along.

Slow introductions are key with him but he is seriously amazing.
