Willie is fondly referred to as the gentle giant in his foster's home. His demeanor is so calming and gentle. He loves all the comforts of home; a soft couch to rest on, a room to share at bedtime, and a nice deck to lounge on beautiful summer days. His beautiful fur coat does shed, but he enjoys his grooming very much and has no problems letting you brush him out. He is housetrained and beyond the puppy mischeviousness, so he has earned great freedom in the house. He gets along great with the resident dogs and canine friends of all sizes at the vets or petstore. He has a bit of a prey drive and will chase cats, squirrels, and rabbits if given the opportunity.  He is great with children of any age. He entered rescue heartworm positive and has completed treatment while in rescue. While heartworm preventatives will be important year round for him, he is considered infection free now.
