Howdy Ladies and Gents. My name is Janet and I am part of the Threes Company crew who came up from Texas last month. Three’s Company, y’all remember that show? ME EITHER! But I would like to be part of your company!

When I first came to Minnesota, I was a little shy, I lacked what y’all call confidence. But once I moved into my foster home and got to experience what being a dog is all about; running, playing, wrestling, going for walks, cuddling on the couch, eating meals twice a day, napping on my special furry rug, and even bath time, I flourished.

In my current home, I am potty and crate trained. Foster momma makes sure that I feel comfortable in my crate, so I have a Kong crate mat, a blanket, and always one of my many favorite stuffies. Because I have a lot of resident fur brothers, sisters, and other pups coming to visit each day, I eat my meals in my crate…but as soon as I’m done, I am ready to come out and play. I do not experience food or toy aggression…but I do tend to wander when there are lots and lots and LOTS of food bowls out. Because I am a wee thin Foster momma says it is important for me to get all possible calories for the day, so that’s why I currently dine alone.

I am smart as a whip, and love puzzle toys and snuffle mats. I would do best with a family who is active; lot’s of walks, hikes, runs, and maybe someday paddle boarding or kayaking. I love being part of a pack and I need you to understand that if I move in with you and I am the only dog, you need to be patient with me while I adjust to receiving all the hooman attention but no dog attention.

I really like to chew on hard chews like smoked bones or cow hooves, and I am trying real hard to learn all the tricks of the household; sit, stay, shake, down, and drop-it. Foster Momma makes sure to tell me I’m doing a swell job and rewards me with both high-quality treats and fruits and vegetables.

Everything is bigger in Texas…including my ears and I’ll be listening for a shoutout from my furever family!

Janet was dumped in a high kill shelter in Texas with her siblings.  She is good with dogs of all sizes, cats and kids.  She is a puppy so would need to be supervised and trained. Please submit adoption application on our website.
